Query regarding deductions to non resident

03 December 2015 A Non Resident individual has made a payment of Rs. 150000/- towards PPF in the Previous year 2014-15 . However the PPF account was opened when he was a Resident in India.
Will the Non resident individual be entitled to deduction under section 80C of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

Please assist.
