my friend is doing a job in a marchent navy. he is also travelling outside in india does he liable for pay the tax in india or not means his income is taxable or not

09 June 2011 please check the residential status. If Resident despite being outside india, then he has to pay tax on total income. If non resident, then only income arisen in India would be taxable in India.
