Quick Summary

If you missed filing your TDS returns for all four quarters of FY 2021-22, you can still file them now. Be aware that a penalty of £200 per day, as per Section 234E, will apply for each day the return remains unfiled. This late fee, however, cannot exceed the total TDS amount due. It's advised to file each quarter's return separately with the applicable late fee.

18 July 2022 Sir /Mam,

If any one TDS payment completed before due date , but returns not filed for total Fy 2021-22(Q1 to Q4)

4 Quarters TDS Return now they want to file,

What is the procedure and how much penalty they attract,

18 July 2022 TDS return can be filed now however penalty of Rs 200 per day as per Section 234E needs to be paid. The deductor is liable to pay the penalty for every day during which the failure continues. However, the amount of late fees cannot exceed the TDS.

18 July 2022 Thank you sir for your reply, they are not filed 4 quarters now they file each quarter separately with penalty, or all quarters in quarter 4
