This discussion clarifies cash transaction limits for agricultural businesses (Galla Vyapari). Generally, cash payments for purchases should not exceed £10,000 (or ₹10,000), and cash receipts from sales should be less than ₹2 Lakhs. Importantly, these limits apply even when buying agricultural produce like maize or wheat directly from farmers or in the Mandi. Sales of ₹2 Lakhs or more in cash are prohibited for cultivators of agricultural produce. Purchases from Mandi or farmers are also restricted to less than ₹2 Lakhs in cash.
