We want to sent the goods in course of purchase return. Pls let me know by which document we can sent this consignment to supplier whether by delivery challan, or debit note

30 September 2017 Issue debit note. also give reference of original purchase invoice in this debit note and mention reason of return.

But in GST regime debit & credit note both will be issued by suppliers not by buyer?
So pls clarify :- how can we issued debit note in course of purchase return

30 September 2017 Hello... Debit / Credit Notes are given not only buyer. You give Purchase Return it's Debit Note (you give) to Your Supplier hand... Your received Sales Return from your customers it's your Credit Note...... Now your above said query it's purchase return as You give "Debit Note" to your supplier...

01 October 2017 Raja sir I know for us in course of purchase return it's our debit note but as per sec 34 of CGST act. Which clearly state that debit & credit note both will be issued only by supplier. Not by buyer. So my doubt arise on the exception of sec 34 which doesn't permitted the buyer to issue even debit note
