29 August 2023 Needed to know if there is a property tax exemption / concession for apartments in Mumbai whose area is in the range of 500 sq feet to 700 sq feet Carpet area. I understand that there was a plan to have 60% tax concession given to such apartments, however need to understand if this has been implemented.

30 August 2023 The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation passed a resolution waiving property tax for houses with a carpet area up to 500 square feet in its general body meeting.

Owners of houses between 500 square feet and 700 square feet will be given a 60% concession in their property tax.

The decision was taken in accordance with the election promise of the ruling party, Shiv Sena as well as the BJP.

30 August 2023 Since when has this 60% property tax concession for flats having area between 500and 700 sq feet carpet been implemented in Mumbai? Also, any government ordinance or document supporting this aspect?
