proof for rental income

07 March 2011 Sir,
tds has been deducted by my employer, and for my rental income I had deposited self assessment tax. my employer will give form16 for income through employment,For self assessment tax paid for income generated from house rent what proof should I submit during filing returns?

07 March 2011 Your filing online then no need for proof, you can fill in ITR all the details and file..

07 March 2011 Income tax returns, whether filed in paper form or in electronic mode, are to be filed annexure less meaning thereby no attachment by way of documentary proof are to be enclosed. If called upon ,by notice, for scrutiny assessment, in your case, original rent agreement has to be shown to the assessing officer and a copy has to be filed in paper form.
