If you've misplaced your professional tax registration number, you can try to retrieve it by contacting your local professional tax officer. They may have your details from the initial registration. Alternatively, check your bank for payment challans from previous years, as these can help you obtain an EC (Encumbrance Certificate). If you've migrated to GST, the details might be in your GST portal records or email correspondence. If all else fails, visiting your local tax office is the best course of action.
