sir,
I am doing tax audit of partnership firm.There are no employees,partners itself take care eveything.this firm needs C forms,dept asked whether professional tax payment made or not.
whether any registration required for professional tax payment.Can professional tax payment be made on dummy employees belatedly.

The department may be asking for Professional tax of the firm or partners in case there is no employee in the firm.
Pl. confirm whether firm or partners, are required registration for PT in your state.

Profession tax has two tier structure, 1) enrollment 2) registration
enrollment has to be paid by firm and partners separately, check applicability as per state rules
registration is to be deducted from employees and deposited to department.
I assume that department is asking you to show the payment of PT enrollment for firm and partners.
