14 May 2015 Hello Sir,

My Gross Salary is 25,00/- but my emplyer pays me 24,750/- after dudction of professional tax 250/- pm.
But I came to know he hasn't paid professional tax. how to claim deduction as Salary I am receiving has professional already deducted from it. My employer hasn't paid it on his side.

please let me know.

14 May 2015 Dear friend,

You need not to bother whether your professional tax is deposited or not by your employer, as far as it is showing as deduction in your salary slip / salary certificate (form 16)

It is not like TDS, where you can get credit only if TDS is deposited by the deductor.

Thank you for the prompt response. Actually the problem here is that i don't get salary slip as we are a small scale industry. Is there any way I can claim this deduction?

14 May 2015 Simply you will have to deduct professional tax amount from salary amount and balance will be taxable.
