16 March 2009 IS PROFESSIONAL TAX PAYABLE BY BRANCHES ALL OVER INDIA AT DIFFERENT SLABS?
IF SO, THEN WHAT ARE THE SLABS APPLICABLE ALL OVER INDIA.
I HAVE 36 BRANCHES ALL OVER INDIA.

18 March 2009 Professional Tax is under State Govt., hence different slabs in every state. Also you have to get registered under every state. Generally Professional Tax is administored by Sales Tax deptt.
