I am often get confused with the terms- Ex-Gratia . Can anybody clarify whether PT is applicable to ex-Gratia or not? I have confused regarding the applicability of PT to Ex-Gratia. In my company we are paying some of the workers as a ex-Gratia instead of wages on monthly basis. Is it applicable for PT? could anyone give me a with details as soon as possible.

Yes. It qualifies for professionla tax. Any payment by whatever name called is the KEY.
