12 November 2014 Regarding Professional Tax in Andhra Pradesh:
an employee whose salary is Rs1,00,000 per month, has attended only 2 days in that month and entitled for only 2 days salary i.e.Rs.6,666/-, my question is whether professional tax to that employee for that month is applicable or not. Please answer.

12 November 2014 Professional Tax is applicable even though an employee might have served for a day or fraction of a day

I agree sir, but my question is, since Rs.6,666 is below the minimum limit of Rs.15000/- i.e. in AP Profession tax is NIL up to 15000/- salary, whether Professional Tax is to be deducted for the particular month or not?
