Process to correction assessment year in tds challan-281

01 June 2015 Respected Sir,

I am residing in very small place in west bengal from there district income tax office is 80 k.mm.
I have deposited a challan-281 for tds in bank before 1 months but in that challan I did a mistake to mention in Assessment yaer i.e the assessment year 2015-16 but actual assessment year will be 2016-17. After requesting for correction in challan to concern bank they said to me that they can't do any correction,and advise me to go to income tax department.

So, Please give me some suggestion that how can i do correction in said tds challan .

your prompt response will be appreciable.

02 June 2015 You should visit TDS circle of your jurisdiction. You should submit request letter for correction of AY along with challan copy, Indemnity bond on Rs. 100 stamp paper.
