26 December 2021 I am facing problems in filing Rectification on receipt of notice u/s 143(1) because
latest offline ITR2 utility of AY 20-21 has no option for filing under section 139(5),so u/s 139(1) selected.However, after data rectification of Salary Schedule and filling of other details of ITR2 ; got interest and penalty on calculating tax to generate XML file.
Help required on the issue

26 December 2021 HRA exemption dis-allowed.Processed ITR2 did not contain break up of salary.Rectification is being sought for correcting the necessary data in The Salary Schedule to give complete details of break up of Salary and all other details given in the processed ITR2 were filled in the latest offline excel utility of ITR2 AY20-21,the Gross Total Income and Deductions amount remained the same as in the processed return.Got interest and penalty on calculating tax to generate XML file.

26 December 2021 Submit rectification request and then file ITR.
In new income tax portal rectification is not fully enabled wait for some time.
Submit grivences.

26 December 2021 Return Data correction (offline) is enabled. Please also advise as to whether Demand raised need to be deposited within one month of intimation/ demand notice...or should i wait
for the outcome of rectification request
