Not at all applicable to preference shares. Let me know the exact query about preference shares. I'll try and figure out something from law books.

06 March 2010 The original query of Mr. Sabtir was regarding private placement of preference shares issued by public listed company to which you had provided the details for preferential issue of equity shares.

Hence, I had requested a clarification as to whether these would be applicable to the private placement of preference shares issued by public listed company also.
