principal denies for giving secondment

04 June 2017 me and my friend are pursuing articleship from the same firm. my friend needs leave for preparation of her CA final exams due in Nov 2017. but the principal is not granting her leaves. he has even denied for giving secondment. what are the possible alternatives she can opt?

05 June 2017 secondment is not your right. With regards to leaves, if it is for CA exams, the principal is required to grant leaves as per ICAI guidelines. So in that case you can approach ICAI. But I dont think you can force him to grant leave for the second attempt as you must have already exhausted your leaves as per ICAI rules.

05 June 2017 no sir leaves are not yet exhausted. I have 130 leaves

05 June 2017 in that case send a written request to the principal. remember the leave as per regulations is only for three month. So as per rules you wont be entitled for leaves before 1 August.
