05 March 2010 My query is can primary issue of shares can be issued at discount, on how much discount can it be issued?
Can also please suggest me the source from where i can get detail information on it.

17 April 2010 Maximum discount is 10 %. however discount exceeding 10% can be provided if the Central Government approves the same.

For details of issue of shares at Discount refer Sec 79 of the Companies Act, 1956
