Any body tell me. PPF is equal to pension plan and if yes then how it is work.

PPF is not like a pension paln. One can make yearly Investment of 70000/- in a year. Investment in PPF is exempted under Income TAX ACT. The tenure of PPF is 15 years. The rate of Interest on PPF is 8%. You can also withdraw money from PPF after a certain period of time to some extent. You will get the money deposited in PPF along with the Interest on Maturity date. Interest earned in PPF is also exempted under Income Tax ACt.
