What difference bw pfx file and usb token?

pfx file is so called because it has a .pfx extension. a pfx file can be easily circulated through e-mail. while now digital signatures are to be obtained in USB token only which are a pen drive like device which is attached to the PC for using digital signature. The main advantage of it is that it safeguards DSC from misuse which is more likely in pfx file.
