13 July 2011 The part of capitalised value of pension fund which is taken as lumps sum. Monthly Pension amount will reduce accordingly.

Suppose 10000 monthly pension is received by a person. He gets 25% of his pension commuted. Then he will receive a certain some. That sum is represented in percentage terms of capitalised value.
After commuting the pension he will receive 7500/ pm pension.
