My sister's pension is pending as she is unable to open a pension a/c along with her son, who is employed in Dubai. Presently he is unable to come down just to open a bank a/c.My query is:
1. Is it absolutely mandatory for him to have a joint account to enable his mother to draw pension?
2. Is there any deviation for such cases?

Her mother can withdraw the amount through cheque or standing instruction to bank to transfer the certian amount periodically to her mother account.
