Payment more than Rs. 20,000 for Elect Payment

Dear Expert,
We have to pay Electricity bill of our office premises Rs. 35,000/- to Gujarat State Electricity Board. We received bill after its due date. Now, Electricity board refuse to accept overdue bills by cheque and further we have account with Axis Bank only and place where our office is situated, Axis bank has no Branch and due to this officials of Electricity board are asking for cash only. If we make this payment by cash then whether this expense will be disallowed? Kindly advise at the earliest. I will be very thankful to you.

Payment in a single day is should not exceed Rs.20000. You can alternatively pay Rs.19000 in one day and balance in second day. Then it will not be disallowed.

yes. agree with Karthik. you can pay any tax amount or govt companies will be allowed above Rs.20000 by cash.
