22 January 2010 one of my friend is working as an employee and he wants to apply for part-time COP.
Can he sign the audit reports and appoint an article??

22 January 2010 He cant take part-time cop, if he wants pratcie then he has to go with full time cop.ICAI will not give cop for parttime, only for full time only...

22 January 2010 Mr. Bala is right.

However; I can understand the problem of your friend. In initial years; many fresh CA face such problems for LIVING EXPENDITURE.

If he really wish to engage himself in the profession ultimately; then he should first of all make arrangement with the current employer to convert his job into "retainership" i.e. in the form of advisory capacity (although he would be able to continue ....).

But, first of all he should go for COP.

After taking COP; he has to raise his bill every month on the present employer for SERVICES PROVIDED.
