14 February 2017 How to know that PAN is correct. Before I got the verification of PAN on income tax website through know your jurisdiction option at website , but now there is no such service. Please tell me where to know PAN jurisdiction or do PAN verification.

15 February 2017 You can check at TIN-NSDL website, Pay tax online link by filling necessary details. But why this facility discontinued in ITD website is thinkable.

click on 'profile settings'.

click on 'PAN details'

PAN, name, DOB, jurisdiction etc can be seen

15 February 2017 Yes sir. But how can we check a particular PAN is valid or not and whether related to the given person or not. These will arise in many situations like on ETDS preparation, PAN verification before paying challan etc. Now the functionality given earlier in ITD efiling website now not available i.e know your AO without login. So we have to register that PAN and after only we can know about the details... Is there any remedy for this sir.
