09 February 2010 I want to know whther a foreign company havings its branch office in India requires a PAN number seperately even when the branch office has a PAN number in India.

Also there might be cases of business being done directly by the foreign company in India without involving the branch office. Does it necessitate for foreign company to have a seperate PAN number.

09 February 2010 as per my view there is no need of separate PAN. the PAN issued to branch will be in company name. so in indian business company can use that
