MY CLIENT WANTS TO AMMEND THE DATE OF BIRTH MENTIONED ON PAN CARD. KINDLY TELL ME WHETHER A CERTIFICATE FROM GAZATTED OFFICER WILL SERVE AS PROOF OF IDENTITY AS WELL AS PROOF OF ADDRESS FOR RECTIFICATION OF D.O.B. ?

Only Gazetted officers attested copy will serve as all in one, either for fresh application or for any amendments since this is classified as a type of proof under the various proofs recognized by IT department provided the attestation is done is a specific format as approved by them.
