25 October 2013 I want to open a current a/c for my pvt ltd company

I've just applied for a PAN

then

Can I open current a/c for my company through Acknowledgement number of PAN application ?

banker needs your incorporation certificate,pan card and board resolution to open bank account

not possible with acknowledgement number banker mandates pan number

better you contact your banker and convince him that you have applied for pan card and produce acknowledgement ,,and promise him that you will submit the pan card copy once received,so that there is a chance to open bank account if your banker satisfies

25 October 2013 Agreed with Expert Umesh opinion.

The Bank will open Bank account without PAN but in few days you will give the PAN to the Bank.

25 October 2013 one of my client opened a/c on Kotak Mahidra without pan
bank will update pan once it is received

25 October 2013 PAN is not mandatory yet to open a current account. However it's the bank's prerogative to deny opening a bank account in absence of thrown PAN. But most banks accept the acknowledgement and go ahead if you give an undertaking that the PAN will be provided as soon ad you are allotted the same.
