21 August 2017 Hello,

One of my vendor has changed the name of their firm from XYZ to ABC and consequently changed the PAN. We have already filed eTDS returns for last year and this year Q1. Now they have requested to change PAN in last year returns as well this year Q1 ?

My question is shall we entertain such request ? Secondly even if firm has just changed the name, Do PAN number also change ?? Please advise at earliest.

21 August 2017 for partnership firm, PAN may be changed for change in name. (Although not necessary......but people have many reasons so to do)
The firm can use new PAN from the date of its issue. Earlier periods' changes in e TDS should not be entertained.

22 August 2017 Agree with Amol ji that earlier periods requests shouldn't be entertained. Anyway the firm is going to file the it returns with the old pan as well for the last year. Then I don't see any reasons for us to modify the pan details of last year
