PAN Card wrongly Issued- Cancellation

27 February 2023 I am holding a PAN card which was issued 15 years back under HUF category by mistake. Ideally it was supposed to issued under 'Individual'. Since I was based out of India I did not not rectify it. Now I have applied another PAN issued under 'Individual 'Category and want to cancel the old PAN card. Kindly assist . Also the earlier HUF PAN card was issued under a different jurisdication,

27 February 2023 How to Cancel a PAN Card?
Visit the NSDL portal and click on “Apply for PAN Online”.
Choose “Correction in Existing PAN Data” under “Application Type”.
Fill in relevant details in the PAN card cancellation form. ...
Make online payment and download this application for future needs.

28 February 2023 I have tried the same but since the old PAN is under HUF its not allowing to cancel. Any other way out. Do i need to be make both the PAN under the same jurisdiction and then cancel it. Pls advice

28 February 2023 Step 1: Visit the NSDL website. Step 2: Fill out the online form with the required details. Step 3: Enter the details of the PAN number that is required to be cancelled in item 11 of the form. Step 4: Review the form carefully and proceed to make the payment of the required amount via credit/debit card or net banking.
