30 September 2012 There is a temple of which management and maintenance under divisional commissioner which he do through maufi officer and the temple has some fixed deposit in the name of temple signed by divisional commissioner and some signed with maufi officer on those fixed deposits bank has cut the TDS. For that they asking PAN now. Now the same problem may occur for other temples also so my question is whether PAN Card should be in the name of divisional commissioner or maufi officer or in the name of temple.

01 October 2012 should be in the name of temple as the fixed deposits are in the name of temple and management is done by other agency

01 October 2012 Pan Card Should be name on the Temple. Because fixed deposite is wealth of temple not a commisioner or maufi officer.
Maufi officer and commissioner are the authorised represenatative and care taker of temple.

01 October 2012 PAN should be in the name in which FD has been made in Bank.

Also even if the FD has been made in the name of Commisioner or Maufi Officer, yet , the PAN and FD should be in name of Temple/Trust running the temple.
