20 September 2012 my name in pan application and birth certificate is nandana gupta.but on card it will be printed as gupta nandana.(i thought better to follow serial no 1 of form 49a for m where surname needs to b mentioned first).how would it affect me in future??pls help...

moreover i submitted certificate of address by municipal councillor without councillor's proof..nobody ready to give his/her proof.but as per income tax dept's certificate format,proof of attesting authority is to be given.

20 September 2012 I think its not makes any problem to you in future so no need to correction of PAN.

20 September 2012 There is an option in Pan Card Name as you would like to be printed.

So i dont think so there will be any problem if Surname is at first

24 September 2012 my document of address proof was rejected first as i had sent house rent lease.but now i have sent certificate of address attested by municipal councillor(sent it 10 days ago),i downloaded the format from the nsdl site and filled it up and got it attested.

but i have received no response if it has been accepted by tin or not.
