dear sir
i apply for pancard of mu own friend as a new application..and later than my friend inform to me tha he was already allotted pan..and now today status of pan in NSDL site also shows that you have allotted pan..so what can we do...? it's by mistake..

after receiving the new pan you can send return to nsdl with letter that he is wrongly apply the pan now I am surrender the new PAN.

sir but in pancarstatus site shows us following status.
"Income Tax Department (ITD) database shows that you may have been issued PAN in your name. ITD yet to inform status of your application" then i write latter to NSDL..? and my friend neither have old pancard nor remember pan no ..?
