Sir/Madam,
I am going to join as paid assistant in a CA firm. I am also going to apply for COP. May I know that can I do attestation work(separate practice) in individual name if I join as paid assistant.
Second shall I become FCA, after five years, if I work as paid assistant with COP.
Please reply ASAP.

If you want to do attestation too while doing job in CA, then you will have to charge professional fees from CA firm rather then being an empoyee there. You can do attestation in your individual name too.
If you work as paid assistant in CA firm, with your COP, you shall become FCA after % yrs.
If you work as paid assistant in CA firm, with your COP, you shall become FCA after % yrs.
