can anyone tel me how to do online vat return step by step plz. help me

Dear Amit,
If you are filing Punjab VAT return,
then simply you need to go to the website www.pextax.com and click on the e-filing of form 15 and form 20.
After that you need to put your log in id and password of e-filing (if the dealer is registered dealer)otherwise you need to get it registered online then log in.
when you log in successfully then, download the utility , fill it and upload it.

It is the same pattern in all states. First you should get an username and a password from your vat office. Click e-filing in the home page of www.dvat.gov.nic.in.Then enter your username and password. The vat return form will open for you. Fill up all details in the respective columns. If you have to pay any tax you have to do it through e-payment(if necessary) or submit a cheque along with a copy of the e-return print or only with the acknowledgement No you got on the print of the return.For making e-payment you have to select one of the authorised banks(mostly PSBs),open an account,if not already having one,apply to the bank,get a username and password and use it...mjk
