I file e return of my friend for AY 2013-14 and claimed refund.Refund is issued by CPC and rejected by assesses bank because assesses name is Ashok kumar Mahajan in Pan Card and in bank name is Ashok Mahajan. what should i do . I am trying to rectifying online but unable to find the option for such rectification .Please help

03 October 2014 rectification online will be of no use in this case. Refund will only be issued in the name of PAN holder. You should contact bank with a copy of PAN card and correct the name of account holder in their records or else meet their senior official if needed to request them to credit the refund in your friend's account.
