if any on file his income tax return in wrong ITR form what should be the legal proceeding taken by it departtmenty? and how can such person rectified his itr form by filling correct itr form?

return filied in woring ITR will be considered as non filing of income tax return.
Now when the person tries to file the return in correct file then he needs to file as revised return & mention the ackn. no. of earlier form.

but saction only says revised can be done only on mistake made in form but nowhere it told to revise return in case of filling in wrong itr.if u any one have stong point plz specify me the right section....

A return filed in an inapplicable form does not render the same invalid.
