12 August 2025 Hi! Thanks for your question — this is a **very common concern** among students after exams like **CA Inter**.

Let’s break down your situation and the likely outcome:

---

## 🔍 Your Situation Recap:

* You **wrote your Roll Number** in the **MCQ booklet** (which is usually not required).
* Then you **erased it using ink eraser**.
* You **properly shaded the Roll Number on the OMR sheet** (as required).
* You’re worried: **Will this affect your MCQ evaluation?**

---

## âś… Here's the Good News:

### 1. **OMR Sheet is What Matters Most**

* ICAI evaluates your **OMR sheet** using **scanners**, and **only the bubbles (shaded parts)** are considered.
* As long as:

* You **shaded the roll number correctly on the OMR**
* Your **answers are correctly bubbled**
* 👉 You’re **safe**, and the evaluation **will not be affected**.

---

### 2. **Writing Roll Number in MCQ Booklet Is Not Ideal — But Not Fatal**

* Instructions say **not to write anything** on the MCQ booklet except answers.
* However, if you **erased** it and did not **tamper** or mark anything suspicious, it's not likely to cause a problem.
* ICAI usually takes a **lenient view** if there's no intent to cheat or mislead.

---

### 3. **No Negative Marking or Penalization**

* ICAI doesn’t penalize for **such minor, non-malicious errors** unless there is a clear case of malpractice.
* Your MCQ answers will still be evaluated based on the **OMR sheet**, **not the booklet**.

---

## 🟨 Practical Advice:

* Don’t worry — this is **not likely to impact your result**.
* Relax and focus on the next steps. Many students make small errors like this, and ICAI systems are designed to evaluate fairly.

---

If you're still very anxious, you could write a **brief clarification email** to ICAI just for peace of mind — but it’s usually **not necessary**.

Would you like a sample of that email just in case?
