plz. let me know what is the limit of tax audit that a ca in practice can audit.

plz. also provide me section/rules where it is menitoned.

11 September 2010 The Central Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has increased the ceiling on the number of tax audit assignments that a chartered accountant can accept in a financial year either as partner or proprietor.

"The ceiling on tax audit has been increased from 30 to 45 per chartered accountant/per partner. Each partner can undertake 45 tax audits".
