My client recd. a notice u/s 154 against the order passed u/s 143(3)for a.y. 2008-09 as there was a mistake apparent from record.
This is a clerical mistake on the part of my client and the demand is correct. My client is ready to pay this demand.
I just wanted to know is there any penalty provision against such demand?? Pl. help.

It is sufficient to pay the demand at this stage, if it is correctly raised.
