Dear Sir,
One of my friend who is salary person file ITR1 for A.Y.15-16
in which he fill wrong salary amount (Gross without deducting HRA & TA)
He received notice for Demand which is not correct.
Now Can He file Revised Return Or Rectify old ITR which is filed.

since processing is done at CPC, it is recommended to rectify itr.

Yes he can file revised return.
It is advisable that take the service of certified Tax Return Preparer of Income tax department for filing. Do not take risk it is not a cup of cake.
