Notice u/s 142 (1) of income tax act

29 March 2018 Dear Sir,

one of my selected limited scrutiny after currency demonetisation i have submitted all the necessary documents regarding the assessment The AO after satisfied the documents i have provided. then he has been closed the assessment and issued notice u/s 142(1) file income tax return. while filing income tax return i have selected section 139(1) instead of section 142(1) of the income tax act.and i have filed return.
my doubt is i have been served notice u/s 142(1) but i have filed u/s 139(1) will any problem will arrive under this mistake. please guide me

30 March 2018 Most likely they will issue notice u/s 143(2) and take up the return for scrutiny so please be ready with your facts and figures.

30 March 2018 thank you for your reply
but already i have produced all the necessary documents. but only mistake is i have selected wrong section to file the return thats all. AO given time to file income tax return within 31st march 2018 so i have filed return while selecting the section 139(9) instead of 142(1) this is the mistake i have done.
