18 May 2016 Sir,

I have filed the return of my partnership firm U/s 44 AD declaring income @ 8% on Gross Turnover. still i received Notice U/s 139(9) of Income tax Act, 1961 ERROR CODE: 31 asking fro Balance sheet & Profit and Loss A/c..
when i called on the toll free number provided on notice... the operators of CPC told me that you have to state reason for not maintaining profit & loss a/c & balance sheet...

Kindly help its urgent as i have to reply within fifteen days i received the mail on 13/05/2015

18 May 2016 It seems that while filing return u/s 44AD you have not filled mandatory details even for no accounts case such as sundry debtors, sundry creditors, cash, stock and gross receipts. These minimum details are to be filled in BS as well as P&L even in no accounts case. You can rectify the defect by filling these particulars in return.

how i can give remaing sundry debtors, creditors details & P/L account

19 May 2016 See as I mentioned in my previous reply even in no accounts case one has to fill these mandatory details. There are separate columns for entering these in return.

24 May 2016 but sir what figures i will put for sundry debtors/ creditors, i dont have have any data...
