Dear Sir/Madam
I filled income tax return for assessment year 2012-13 in form no.ITR-4S for individual and CPC sent to intimation u/s 139 (9) due to defective found in e-filling.
Please guiding to me procedure of rectification and compliance of receiving aforesaid noitce.

First carefully read out the intimation send by CPC u/s 139(9) it will indicate you what mistakes you committed while filing of original return and then re fill your return of income u/s 139(9) with correction of mistakes committed by you at the time of original return and then convert it into XML file and then login into www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and then go to e-file and then select e-file in respond to 139(9) notice and here upload the above XML file and then your portion of action shall completed and CPC shall process it and send you intimation u/s 143(1).
Note: CPC shall indicate you in its notice u/s 139(9) who did you file 139(9) return, so please follow carefully the notice u/s 139(9).
