What is the time period of notice required for calling an EGM?which all sections are applicable?

21days. Pl see section 171(1). Can also be convened at shorter notice provided conditions in section 171(2) of the Companies Act,1956 are satisfied.

It shall be 21 Clear days. Meaning the date of EGM & date of posting shall be excluded. Hence it is safer to have 23 days clear notice.
