Dear Sir,
My spouse (house wife) has received a Notice regarding Non Filing of Income Tax Return for the FY: 2009-10 & 2011-12, Information Code-CIB-321: Share Transactions of Rs. 20,000 or more.
She has no any income & wholly dependent on me.
As per her Demate Account Ledger, she has noT Short Term Capital Gain, even huge loss in above state Financial Years.
Kindly revert me advice.

Dear Prasad,
These notices have been issued to thousands of PAN holders who have traded in shares beyond a certain limit but have not filed returns.
It is preferable that you file returns for the respective years. last week a similar query a raised in the forum on the same notices.
You may also seek professional help before responding to the said notices.

you need to reply to the said notice stating the facts that your income was below taxable limits as you can not file the ITR now.
