I have received a notice u/s 148 for the AY 2011-12 on 17.12.2018 i.e Beyond 6 AY, is it Valid?
In this notice it is mentioned that a notice u/s 142(1) was sent earlier (20.09.2018), where no such notice was received in actual.

if you absolutely sure that no earlier notice was received and that there has been no participation from your side through any responses etc, then you can ignore the existing notice on the ground of time barred issue of notice. Also, please ensure that you check response of the other expert on your similar query, where he has raised an important point that certain reassessments are permitted even beyond 6 years period.
