Notice for non filing of itr

One of mu client having salary Income of Rs 5.08 Lac in FY 2012-13 (AY 2013-14) has received notice for non filing return. Reply to be submitted online thru "Compliance Module". Proper TDS was deducted from his salary & there is no tax payable for said year.
What could be our reply?? Please send draft one &
Can we file manual ITR for FY 2012-13 in this case?

My Advise is File Manual ITR and xerox copy of ITR V to respect IT Dept Office with Letter and take Acknowledgement.

1. Reply online through compliance module. There are option to choose. you may choose 'return is being filed'
2. Prepare MANUAL return and file attaching therewith a copy of the referred notice.
