07 February 2012 My client is doctor M.D. (Ped.) has provided free treatment to BPL children under "Bal Sakha" scheme. For that he received payment from government after 10% tax deduction.
Now problem is that government has not issued Form-16A and there is no entry in Form-26AS also, then how can I file refund claim for TDS.
The said case is for AY- 2011-12

07 February 2012 Ask government to deposit TDS deducted and file TDS return. Pursue with them repeatedly.

Even if nothing happens then claim TDS in your ITR and seek refund.

08 February 2012 It is not possible to claim refund if we have netiher form 16a and entry in 26AS.

Entry in form 26AS is utmost to seek refund
