Non recceipt of itr v

Dear sir,
I filed a return in July last year for Ay 2011-12 and send the ITR V which not yet received by the income tax department and I need to revise the same .Since i belong to a town where no Speed post facility is available, it is not possible to send it within the last date i.e 31/03/2012 or within 20 days from filing the return , whichever is letter. should I wait for the confirmation or file the revised return and sand the revised ITR V to the department.

Since you need to revise the return, you can revise the same without waiting for intimation from CPC.

Send a copy of ITR V again to Banglore. In case the ITR V is not received by them it will be treated as return not filed. It is to be sent within 90 or 120 days and without this you cannot revise the return.
